BION'S 'COGITATIONS', NICOLA ABEL-HIRSCH

Bion's Cogitations are the notes he wrote between 1958 and the year of his death in 1979. The first notes in 1958 are written at the time of his mutative discovery of the container/contained relationship and of his laying the ground for his own independent investigation of psychoanalysis. Over the following roughly twenty years we get access to the questions he was asking clinically as well as theoretically - and to his dry humour! Reading his 'cogitations' is a way into the whole of his work.
